Our New Wheels

Leo and I bought a new car yesterday. Well, it isn't brand new but pretty close. We have been trying to unload the VUE due to problems that we had been experiencing. After going back and forth on things, we decided on buying a Toyota 4Runner. We knew we wanted to get a good used vehicle. We went to the dealership last night when Leo got home from work, and they had a 2007 with 30,000 miles on it that was kept in meticulous shape. Owner made an impulse buy when coming in for his regular oil change. The car color is driftwood pearl which is fancy for darker gold. It is a 4 wheel drive. It came with the towing package. It is also the first car we have owned that has power windows and locks. It also has great cargo space. Plus, it makes you feel real tall when you drive it. The dealership we went to was one of the fanciest things I have ever seen. First off, there is a Dunkin Donuts in the showroom. Even more impressive was the workshop area they had. It had 26 bays that looked like a NASCAR race shop. It was very clean even in the areas that they were working on cars. They really took care of us, and not in that pushy kind of a way that you get when buying cars. It was a real nice experience. They gave us a great deal on the car price and even went above blue book value on our car. Like Leo said, if only buying a house could be that pleasant and easy. I will post a picture tomorrow once I get a chance to do it daylight.

That's great. You folks don't let any moss grow under your feet when you make a decision, do you? I think it is good that you got it before winter - something to put in your new garage. Good luck with it.
