Update

Well, Leo feels that I made his health seem better than what it was. I re-read my post, and I see it as he kept food down all day. He was trying to say that I said he ate all day yesterday which didn't occur. Today, he didn't go anywhere. He feels that his recovery is going slow and he isn't close to 100%. Just want to clarify. Don't want him to seem better than he is apparently. I feel fine still, so hopefully that keeps up.

Getting Better.

Leo is doing much better today. He did have to take off of work, but has been able to keep food and fluids down all day, so that is good. He even stayed up tonight, so I take that as a good sign. He was even talking about the possibility of going kayaking tomorrow which is really good sign. So far so good for me. I am feeling fine with the exception of some pregnancy related things. The preganncy might have come in handy. I am on prescription vitamins that are supposed to boost your immune system. They may have worked, or at least I hope so. I don't know what we are going to do for the weekend other than our plans on Monday. It is supposed to be nice, so I would hope to be able to get out of the house. I do have to go food shopping one day this weekend. Hopefully, the stores won't be too crowded.

Sick Day

Leo came home sick from work today. Yesterday his stomach was bothering him and he chalked it up to stress. Unfortunately, that assessment was incorrect. He has some sort of stomach virus with fever. He has spent most of hte day in bed and has been throwing up. Of course, there is only so much I can do. I obviously don't want to catch it. I am having my own stomach issues. I don't need his on top of my own. I did go out and get some chicken noodle soup. He didn't want to eat anything, but he did drink some gatorade. Hopefully, he will be feeling better tomorrow.

Surprise!

Well, today's appointment went well. I was pretty impressed about how fast the office moved. I was there for an hour and part of that was filling out paperwork. In case anyone is wondering the reason for the appointment was to confirm that I am pregnant. Yes, you read that correctly. I am pregnant. It was confirmed and I got to see the baby and have the pictures from the sonogram to prove it. There will be a new little Kolshorn the early part of January. Well, everyone goes late in my family, so that may not be until the middle of January. This will make it so that there will be one less January birthday than March in the family. Can't wait to see the comments on this post.

Low Key Day

Today was pretty low key. The only excitement was watching some guys cut down one of the trees behind our neighbor's house. It is about time that it was cut down. It was flanked by another tree that really had overgrew it. It looks so much better now that it is gone. Leo made dinner tonight because I wasn't feeling the greatest. He did a good job on the london broil he made. Of course, to hear him, he is the next Emeril. Tomorrow, I have a doctor's appointment that hopefully won't take up most of my day. I hate when you go to the doctor's and end up waiting to be seen and then are there forever. I think only once have I not had to wait since I moved here. To make matters worse, I have to go in early to fill out the new patient paperwork. You know that means that doctor is going to be running behind. That goes without saying.

Anniversary!

Well, today was our anniversary. Leo went over most of the weather at the game. Above picture was not taken at today's game, but I thought I should at least have a baseball picture to go along with the theme of the day. Our seats were really good today. We were under the overhang, so we only had to move once when the wind changed the direction of the rain. We went to the concourse area then, and stood with everyone else until it slowed down enough to return to our seats. We then watched the Pens-Flyers game on the jumbotron until play resumed. The second rain delay was really too much. Even though we got wet, I would rather be heading home at the point. We had already been at the ball park for 6 hours. In fact, the game was still on when we got home. Leo made a nice dinner, and we watched television to cap off the evening. Overall, it was a very nice day.

Sometimes the Picture Doesn't Tell the Whole Story

Here's what looks like Wrangler just glancing out the door. What really was going was a bunch of whining along with occassional jumping up and down. I finally looked out to see what caused him to be riled. It turns out that, for the first time ever, there was a pair of mallard ducks on the patio. There were walking around and eating bird seed I had spilled filling the feeder earlier today. Maybe he does know that he is duck dog after all.

Curb Appeal

Yesterday, we decided to go buy some flowers and mulch. We wanted to spruce up the outside before we put the house on the market. The mulch and flowers added to the appeal of the house. We didn't go overboard. I hate it when people overload there gardens and everything starts looking overgrown. We also pulled out some things we didn't like that were here since Leo bought the house. Overall, I think our efforts were nice.

Finally

I finally had one little goldfinch come back. He was also nice enought to pose for pictures. Posted by Picasa

Somebody New

Today I looked out at the feeder and I had someone new eating. I have seen this red winged blackbird in a tree at the neighbor's, but never could get a shot of him. This afternoon I guess he was hungry. He almost blended in with the grackles, but his red and yellow stripes gave him away.

A Day With Friends

We went to Thompson Park to go see our deer friends. There were also a few other friends thrown into the mix. The does are looking like they can't wait until the birthing season comes. There is one female who could barely walk she was so big. I hope for her sake that she goes on the early side. She definitely has to be carrying more than one, and I wouldn't be surprised if she carrying triplets. It is funny watching them run up to people as soo as they see that they are carrying bags. They know who carries the food. We did pick up some dandelion greens, and fed some of them. They were trying to reach the greens from the other side of the fence. I think they were happy that we helped them.
