The Storm's A Coming.

Well, we are getting what is considered the first big storm of the year.  Of course, we had snow in these parts that was pretty decent, but this is the first for widespread snow.  Leo is over to his friend's to pick up his quad.  He had kept it there after riding it the other day due to us waiting for the title to our trailer to come.  He wanted to make sure it was here just in case he needed to clear the road in an emergency.  He starts his leave, but is going on early to finish up some loose ends that way he can be home before the storm really gets going.  It isn't supposed to really start snowing here until after 9AM.  My appointment for tomorrow was rescheduled for Monday afternoon.  The did that earlier today forseeing what the weather is going to be like.  I didn't feel like going out with an inch plus snow an hour with blowing snow on top of that anyways.  This is especially true since our roads will be the last to be cleared.  The road we live on isn't even plowed at all.  Hence, why Leo is picking up the quad.  At least, I will be home where you can just enjoy the snow.  I am sure the dogs are going to want to go out an play.  Plus, the girls next door will be sledding on the hill around here.  If nothing else, this storm plus the one on Sunday should make for a white Christmas around here.

First, I want to say how sorry we were to hear about your grandmother's passing. She isn't in distress anymore, but I'm sure it's hard on you dad and grandfather, especially at this time of year. We look forward to seeing them over Christmas.

We were wondering how you were going to make out with your appointment, so I'm glad it's re-scheduled. I thought that there was some guy who was paid by the association who plowed your road. I hope Leo isn't planning to plow all the way to Laabs Road with that quad. If you go into labor during a storm, you should call the first aid squad to come to you. They generally have rigs that will go through a lot of snow, or they have a plow that clears the way. It wouldn't hurt to call your local squad and tell them where you are and ask what would happen in such a case.

You have a trailer too now? You're going to need another garage for all that stuff. Well, Leo can practice plowing so that he can have the road all nice and clear for us when we come.

I was looking forward to my Friday report. Guess I'll just have to wait! Take care of yourself and stay warm!

Yeah, it isn't the best time to have someone die but then again there is never a good time for that. My dad and grandfather are now not leaving FL until after Christmas. They aren't going to get the death certificate until Monday. That leaves Tuesday and Friday as days getting everything they need to get done as far as that goes. They will be here by New Year's Eve pending weather. This will be good as that would have been my grandparent's 59th wedding anniversary. I don't think Leo is planning on doing the whole road. In fact some of the road is actually better with snow on it for traction. Oh yeah, the road maintenance man just cinders occasionally if he sees fit. We have seen him one time in all the time we have had snow so far this season. It is something that I think we will be bringing up at the next homeowner meeting. Fine if that is all that he does, but everyone is getting overcharged for the service if that is the case. There isn't going to much that anyone can do with fast accumulating snow like there are forecasting. We have everything we need, so we should be good. Not too mention the deer will have food out there. Heaven forbid I don't put food out. Some of them have started to get vocal about it.
