You can tell Leo's Gone
Well, this has been the look on Wrangler's face pretty much since last night. It took him a long time to figure out that Leo wasn't coming home. This is a normal pattern with him when Leo is gone. That and the fact that he gets diarrhea which also occurred today, but he is good about getting outside, so there have been no accidents in the house. I have medicine to give him when it happens. Of course, I have been busy cleaning most of the day, so that doesn't help him either. Right now he is content watching the birds outside. He seems to be enjoying that. Of course, if I let him out he would go and chase them. He normally goes the other direction. No one told him he was a bird dog I guess. He'll be better tomorrow once his father comes home.

Poor Wrangler. :(
I saw Choice A and Choice B. I didn't see any room dimensions in Choice A or the size of the land so it is hard to compare. Choice A seems to have the bedrooms sort of in the attic (sloping roof line). How big is the basement? Does it smell damp or seem wet. What is a "special addenda" in the document section. Choice B has a plethora of heating options: electric, oil, liquid propane. What's that about? The barn looks nice. How is the roof? It looks like a big roof. The rooms don't seem large, but that was typical in older farm houses. The dining room is 7' wide? Did I read that right? People will have to stand along the wall while you and Leo come through and ladle out porridge into their bowls.
Having a few acres would be nice, but it does require more time to care for it. You really need to see each place, preferably on the same day, to see how you feel. Those tiny, little pictures can only give you the vaguest idea of what they are really like.
But now this is causing me angst. Mom is saying, "Wouldn't it be nice to have a barn? Then we could have a horse." I said, "Do you have any idea what it costs to have a horse?" A horse, of course, that's what we need is a horse.
Good luck with your house hunting and I hope Wrangler feels better soon. I guess he will when Leo gets home.
That's a precious pic of Wrangler. He does look so sad. As for Dad's comment, I was just fantasizing. But a horse for you guys - hmmmm.
Well, choice A's rooms are larger. Most of them are just slightly larger. I know about basements, and acutally like the idea of the dirt floor basement. We have it in the house in town in Towanda. All you need is a little plastic down and it is controlled. Not too mention it is a better way to control foundation problems. Choice A is on two acres. I don't know what the special addenda is. It also was just listed, but we will be finding out. We are seeing both the same day. It won't be hard. They are actually catty corner from each other. I noticed the roof lined rooms. If there is no attic, I would question the insulation. As far as heating choices in the one house, it is easy to answer. The oil heater is electric run. You see this with many oil heated houses. My parents have that. The liquid propane is for the propane stove they put it which is nice because if your electric is out you can still have heat. I think the room size is wrong because it looks the same width of the living room which is listed as more than that. You don't need to get a barn for a horse. You could just use ours if we buy that place. Not too mention, think of the extra storage you could have in our barn.
